Since version 2026, Flux 3D and Flux PEEC are no longer available.

Thermal region: about

What we can simulate?

With regions it is possible to describe:

  • material media such as:
    • conducting material media (thermal conductivity k) with possibly a heat source (imposed value of thermal flux)

  • boundary conditions of the following types:
    • heat transfer (on faces)
    • imposed temperature (on faces or lines)
    • insulated face (adiabatic boundary)

3D specificity

In 3D problems, it is also possible to describe thin conducting regions with thermal exchanges on both faces.
