Mechanical set: principle of use
Introduction
Mechanical sets are the entities used for the modeling of the devices comprising of moving parts.
Principle
The description of motion in Flux 3D (its geometric and physical aspects) is treated in chapter Kinematic coupling: principles.
Process
The process of a study with kinematic coupling includes various stages, which are briefly recalled in the table below.
| Stage | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 |
Geometry building (the position of the moving part is the reference position) |
| 2 |
Mesh (To optimize according to the extreme positions of the moving part) |
| 3 | Creation of mechanical sets |
| 4 | Physical description |
| 5 |
Creation of a pilot for the solving (Time, position, etc.) Solving process |
| 6 | Post-processing of results |
Units
The units used for the resolution of the mechanical equations are the units SI.
