Multiphysics co-simulation: principles

Background

Very often, industrial processes are characterized by complex, varied and strongly dependent physical phenomena (fluid mechanics, thermal transfer, electromagnetism…). The behavior of systems results from a strong coupling between physical fields of various natures.

In general, the software used for simulation treats only one type of specific application (fluid mechanics or thermal transfer or electromagnetism) and does not answer fully to our expectations.

This chapter treats co-simulation solutions suggested by Flux.
