How to mesh with skin effect in 3D

Introduction

In 3D, the main workflow advised to follow for the skin effect mesh is based on a specific mesh generator called Layers.
Note: In this workflow, the skin effect mesh is applied on all volume borders. It is impossible to exclude one or several borders.

Otherwise, the macro for skin effect mesh is also available in 3D (same process than 2D macro).

But in 3D the macro can give a huge number of elements (tetrahedra) which can increase drastically meshing and solving time.

In this document, only the main workflow with Layers Mesh Generator is presented.

To use the 3D macro, please refer to the part on the 2D macro: Advised workflow with Skin effect mesh macro.
