Altair One Authentication

Altair One uses OpenID Connect (OIDC), an extension of OAuth 2.0, for user authentication and single sign-on (SSO) to access Altair One applications.

Content Management

A new and improved content management module is now available on Altair One. Authoring and managing content packs is more flexible. Events can be registered on actions to manage their lifecycle and appropriately display notifications.

High-Performance Computing (HPC)

Availability of Altair Simulation Products 2022.2

Altair Simulation 2022.2 products are now available on Altair One. Please refer to the supported list of applications and appliances.

File Activity Enhancements

The Activity tab displays comprehensive details of all actions performed on the file and a folder. You can easily review the status of the job, job results, and review the action log details.

Action logs for HPC Actions in Altair Drive

You can access to action logs for all HPC operations such as generating previews, jobs, and sessions. The logs aid in debugging and analyzing the root cause of the issue.

Altair Access 2022.2 with an Enhanced Upgrade for OIDC Compliance

Altair Access has undergone an upgrade to version 2022.2, aligning with OIDC compliance standards. This upgrade applies to Altair One, including the default Jobs and Session app, as well as all NavOps appliances.

Altair NavOps Enhancements

Altair One NavOps is now upgraded with SSO-based login. The previously encountered errors while creating an appliance are now improved and resolved.

Resolved License Check-in Issues

The issue of license check-in failure for multi-node and long-running jobs from the Altair Access application has been successfully resolved through license reconciliation.

New Features

File Versioning

Altair Drive now supports file versioning, allowing users to create multiple branches and work on different design iterations. The version graph tracks all activities and changes made to the published file contents.

Plot Viewer

A plot viewer is now available to visualize content types with plot results. Extract plot data and generate previews to visualize charts in the plot viewer. Currently, the plot viewer supports the XY chart type.

3D Viewer Enhancements

Docking Support

Organize the 3D viewer using the docking support feature. Widgets such as Browser, Analysis Explorer, and Callout Table can be docked on either side of the window. To undock, simply drag it outside the docking area.

Notifications

You can now view real-time status updates of the action execution as they are being processed. The notification includes links that allow you to check the job status and action logs.

Analysis Explorer Enhancements

Analysis Explorer now also provides selection of Steps and Components of result types, available to contour the result. Users can click on "advance results" settings dialog to learn more about the result settings available on the selected result type

Callouts Enhancements

The style of callouts is now improved to include the Result type and value within the text box. Additionally, the border color of the callout now matches the legend color of the selected region in the contoured result file.
Callouts can be re-positioned within the graphics area, and their positions will be retained for the current session.
Users can create callouts at required locations for selected results by selecting the node and element ids. Callouts dynamically display values based on the selected subcase, step, result type, or component in the analysis explorer.

Callout Table

Callouts are now persisted within an active viewer session and users can see the list of all callouts from the callout table. They can also show, hide, isolate, and rename the callouts from the callout table.

Scenes Enhancements

Scenes are backward compatible and displays appropriate warnings / errors with suggestions to fix issues during scene restoration.
