Predefined Air Interface File (.WST)
Network parameters can be loaded from a predefined .wst file which is available for most of the common wireless technologies.
For network planning, the air interface (for example, CDMA, OFDM), requires parameters to
be defined related to the carriers (number, bandwidth, separation), transmission modes,
coding, and the required signal-to-noise-and-interference ratio at the receiver. This
information may be loaded from a .wst
file1.
Tip: Find a list of predefined
.wst files in the Altair installation directory, for
example:
Altair\2024.0\help\winprop\examples\ExampleGuide_models\Example-A07-Air_Interfaces_aka_Wireless_Standards.zip.
1 Alternatively, you can define the individual air interface manually (only
recommended for experienced users).
