Preferences

Adjust HyperLife Crack Growth settings.

To access preferences, click File > Preferences > HyperLife CG from the menu bar.

Resources

Run at model location
HyperLife run files will be written to the Model file directory.
HyperLife home directory
Working directory for HyperLife run files.
The default directory is Documents\Fatigue\CrackGrowthRunHistory.
User defined material directory
Directory for UsrDefMaterialDB.csv
The default directory is Documents\Fatigue\UsrDefMaterialDB.xml.
Number of Processors
Number of processers for Strain Life run and crack grown hotspot evaluation.

Crack Growth Calculation

Absolute Max Principal Stress along crack direction
2D
2D stress extracted at the hotspot node (surface) and across the thickness.
3D
3D stress extracted at the hotspot node (surface) and across the thickness.
None (default)
2D stress at the hotspot node (surface) and 3D stress across the thickness.
Crack cycle resolution
Frequency of crack results output.

Session file (.hlf) save options

Store input result file content
Store the input result file within the *.hlf file.
