Morph Definitions and Dialog Options

Morph Definitions

Parts
  • Only selected parts will be morphed.
  • If no parts are selected, all parts will be considered for morphing.
  • If parts connected to the selected parts are not in the selection, you will have to manually define fixed points at boundaries of connected parts.
Control Volumes
  • Any nodes outside of the selected box will not be morphed.
  • Only one box definition is supported.
Active control points
  • Points which define the area to be morphed
  • Either create points by clicking on geometry or use the button to select already created control points.
  • Nodes within sphere drawn from each control point with impact radius will be morphed.
Fixed control points
Points which constraint node movement of the nodes around.
Either create points by clicking on geometry or use the button to select already created control points.
Preview
Clicking on preview will create an animated preview of the shape.
If the shape is already created with morph setting, clicking on preview will overwrite the existing shape.

Dialog Options

Translation vector
A measure of how much control points will be moved.
Impact radius
Defines the scope of nodes which will be morphed on moving control points. Nodes within a sphere drawn from each control point within impact radius will be morphed.
Impact radius should be bigger than translation magnitude of control points.
Define symmetry
Enables symmetry morphing along a plane. With this option, you can replicate morphing on both side of a plane. You must define the plane normal and center point of the plane.
Use the manipulator to interactively define plane.
