Connections: definition (structure)
Definition
A connection is defined by:
- a name
- a type
- a list of terminals
Name
The name to identify the connection is set during its creation by the user (manual creation) or by Flux PEEC (automatic creation).
In both cases, the user can modify this name.
If the connection is manually created by the user, Flux PEEC proposes a default name for the connection: TERMCONNECTION_1, ...
If the connection is automatically created by the tool, the name chosen by Flux PEEC is of the form: TERMCONNECTION_1, ...
A comment (optional) can be added to the name.
Types of connections
Two types of connections are provided by Flux PEEC: equipotential connection and proximity connection.
A proximity connection involves two terminals at the most. Its creation is the responsibility of the user; Flux PEEC will never create automatically a proximity connection.
Terminals
List of connected terminals.
A terminal can pertain to only one connection.
