Unidirectional Conductors: definition (structure)
Definition
A Unidirectional Conductor is defined by:
- a name (and comment)
- a meshing of the section
- a meshing in the length (optional)
- a material
- a type
- specific characteristics belonging to the type
- attributes of visibility
Name
The name to identify the Unidirectional Conductor is set by the user during the creation of this one. Flux PEEC provides the following default names:
- for an automatic creation: GEOMTUBE_1, …
- for a direct creation: CONDUCTORUNIDIRECTIONAL_1, …
A comment (optional) can be added to the name.
Types of Unidirectional Conductors
The types of Unidirectional Conductors and the characteristics useful for their description are presented in the table below.
Conductor … | Characteristics | Creation |
---|---|---|
resulting from a Geometric Tube | Associated Geometric Tube | automatic |
resulting from a classic geometry description (by Assimilation) |
List of volumes List of input faces (of the current) List of output faces (of the current) |
by the user |
Types of section meshing
The different types of section meshing available for each type of Unidirectional Conductors are presented in the table below and detailed in next paragraph.
Conductor … | Types of section meshing |
---|---|
resulting from a Geometric Tube |
Uniform Geometric ( only for rectangular sections) Automatic according to the reference frequency* Automatic according to a given value of frequency |
resulting from a classic geometry description |
Uniform Automatic according to the reference frequency* |
Meshing in the length
Only one type of discretization in the length is proposed: the uniform meshing.
