Display Settings

Use the Display Options window to control the display of text in the modeling window. The text includes item numbers, comments, initial guess values, and results.

Options

To access the display options, click Settings > Flow Simulator Display Options, or click the eye icons > Options.

The text below the eye icon indicates the set of items controlled by the drop-down.

The display of labels and ID numbers are controlled.

The display of flow element results are controlled.

The display of thermal network results are controlled.

The display of flow chamber results are controlled.

Turn OFF the display of all items controlled by the icon.
Show All
Turn ON the display of all items controlled by the icon.
Selected
Turn ON the display of items controlled by the icon that are in the Show column of the Display Options window.
Options
Open the Display Options window to control individual items.
The Display Options window is opened with lists visible and minimized depending on which eye icon is used. “None” and “Show All” do not affect the items in the Hide and Show columns of the Display Options window.

Display Options Window

The Display Options window controls the display of the text in the modeling window. All variables in the Hide (left) column are not displayed and all the variables in the Show (right) column are displayed.

At the top of the window is the Chamber and Element Data Source list. Options include:
Off
Do not display any initial values or results.
Initial Values
Display the initial guess pressures and temperatures. This is the default setting until a model is run, or results are read into the GUI.
Result Values
Display the values from a results file (*.res). This is the default setting when a model is run, or results are read into the GUI.
Result Difference
Display the values from the difference of two results files. Use Tools > Compare Models > Results to load two results files to get the difference values.
  • Double-click an item to move it to the other column.
  • Click Show >> or Hide << to highlight and move one or more items. Select multiple items by using the Shift or Ctrl buttons while clicking.
  • Click the category header to select all items in a category. For example, select Fluid Chamber to moves all items for Fluid Chambers between columns.
  • Right-click on any variable to display a precision settings control. Use this to control the number of digits displayed after the decimal point.
