Parts Management

The parts management section provides an advanced search functionality to search for parts that are part of in the various programs that may exist in the system. The key tasks that can be accomplished in this section are:
  • Search for parts
  • Edit parts shown in the search results
  • Generate Excel reports of the search results
  • Change the system of units for the parts shown in the search results

Search for Parts

Click Parts Catalog > Parts Management.
The Advanced Search page is displayed.
Note:

The working of the Parts Management functionality is mostly similar to the Advanced Search functionality available under Development > BoM Management > Management. Please refer to Advanced Search for learning how to use the search functionality in the Parts Management page.

Edit Parts from Search Results
  1. Create one or more filters and search for the parts that you are interested to find.
  2. Click the part of your interest from the search results.
  3. Click Enable Changes to edit the default attribute values of the selected part.
    The fields in the rows of the search results become editable.
  4. Edit the attributes of the parts that you want to modify.
  5. Click the Save Changesicon after the modifications are done.
    The parts will be updated with the new data.

Change System of Units
  1. Click the part that you want to modify from the search results.
  2. Click System Of Units.
    A dialog to edit the system of units appears.
  3. Change the system of units as per your requirements and click Confirm.
    The new system of units is applied to the part.
