Application Template

An application template is the most comprehensive form of a task.

The Application Template is the most general block in Pulse, its only prerequisite being the application itself. Arguments can be passed on for the execution of the application, including a script. Generic Task, Launch Task and Solver Run Task are no longer available, their functionality is now covered by the Application Template. Through the Application Template, you can perform an automation in an application by defining a script and optional variables describing input and output file(s).

Through the Application Template, you can execute an application for user interactive activities. For example:
  • Review the results or verify mesh quality in HyperMesh.
  • Launch Inspire to modify geometry.

Author can create and define inputs and outputs using the ApplicationTemplate dialog. See Variables and Dataflow for more information.
