An application template is the most comprehensive form of a task.
The Application Template is the most general block in Pulse, its only prerequisite
being the application itself. Arguments can be passed on for the execution of the
application, including a script. Generic Task, Launch Task and Solver Run Task are
no longer available, their functionality is now covered by the Application Template.
Through the Application Template, you can perform an automation in an application by
defining a script and optional variables describing input and output file(s).
Through the Application Template, you can execute an application for user interactive
activities. For example:
Review the results or verify mesh quality in HyperMesh.
Launch Inspire to modify geometry.
Author can create and define inputs and outputs using the
ApplicationTemplate dialog. See Variables and Dataflow for more information.
