Manage Net Classes

Classify nets according to their electrical characteristics.

1. From the menu bar, click Properties > Net Classes. A default net class, string filter, is displayed as shown below.
   The Net Classes dialog opens and displays a default net class, string filter.
2. Use Import and Export to save and reload the net class file.
3. Use Edit to edit current net class items.
4. Click Add to open the Net Classes dialog.
   You can assign a new net class name and search strings. Two operators are used in the search string: # and *.

   • * : Any string
   • # ; One Number
5. Select String search definition to view a document describing the string search rule.
   This net class definition will be used in the Nets dialog to assign net class to each net. By using net class assigned to each net, DDR nets are automatically grouped when performing Automatic DDR Bus Analysis.
