Generated Shapes Are Disconnected

Condition

Shapes generated from topology optimization are partially disconnected.

Cause

This is often a sign that the Minimum Thickness Constraint in the Run Optimization window has been set to a value that is too high.

Remedy

Reduce this value and rerun the optimization. You could also use the topology slider on the Shape Explorer to fill small gaps.
