Export to Cadence Library

Export symbol or footprint library to Cadence.

UPE can export a symbol library to OrCAD library XML file (*.xml) and export a footprint library to Allegro footprint binary file (*.dra).

Export symbol to OrCAD

From the menu bar, File > Export > Cadence > Logic Symbol for OrCAD Capture v17.2+ (*.xml).
Specify a name and save location for the .xml file.
Click Save.

Export footprint to Allegro

From the menu bar, File > Export > Cadence > Footprint for Allegro v17.2+ (*.dra).
Specify a name and save location for the .dra file.
Click Save.
Note: In order to use the Allegro footprint export (same as Link to ECAD with Allegro), you need to copy the 'allegro.ilinit' file to Cadence installed directory. Copy 'allegro.ilinit' file from C:\ProgramData\altair\PollEx\<version>\Share to %CDSROOT%\share\local\pcb\skill.
