New features and enhancements available in Altair InsightPro.

Live Monitoring

The live monitoring feature has been introduced that enables you to track the performance and key metrics of the cluster in real-time to ensure peak efficiency. This feature is compatible with PBS Professional and Accelerator.

You can track the metrics from the following dashboards:
  • Cluster: The data provides a real-time overview of job and node performance in an HPC environment, including job statuses, node utilization, downtime, and queue wait times.
  • Jobs: The data provides insights into job statuses, queue wait times, resource utilization, and user activity in an HPC system over the last 24 hours.
  • Node: The data provides real-time and historical insights into node availability, utilization, and state changes in an HPC system, categorized by resource class.
  • The following reports provide insights into jobs and nodes or taskers:
    • Job Table: Provides real-time raw job information with the ability to select and view specific job attributes.
    • Node/Tasker Table: Displays real-time raw node information such as state, load, running jobs, 24‑hour job failures, and so on.
  • Cluster Dashboard allows you to view usage dashboards at either the individual cluster level or across multiple clusters.
  • Accelerator Kafka raw data has been imported into the database for advanced analytics using Altair Panoptican.
  • From the Jobs and Nodes dashboards, you can drill down to the corresponding Job Table or Node/Tasker Table with filters already applied to show specific types of jobs or nodes.
  • From these tables, you can further drill down to view detailed information for each job or node.

Historical Reports

The following reports have been added:
  • Fairshare Group Walltime: Represents the total walltime used by tasks in a Fairshare queue. This metric provides insight into overall resource usage and the efficiency of jobs within the Fairshare framework.
  • Fairshare Group Waittime: Represents the time tasks spent waiting in a Fairshare queue before being scheduled. This metric helps assess system workload, resource contention, and fairness of resource allocation among users or groups over time.
Job Summary Report has been enhanced with the following:
  • Ability to select and view specific job attributes.
  • Ability to filter from grid itself.

Save reports with custom filters for quick access which can be used for exporting reports.

Export Reports

The new reporting enhancements streamline the process of generating and sharing reports by automating tasks that previously required manual effort. You can schedule reports to be automatically generated and delivered at defined intervals, such as daily, weekly, or monthly. This ensures that stakeholders always have timely and consistent access to the latest insights without the need for manual intervention. In addition, the automated delivery of usage data promotes greater transparency and accountability by ensuring that relevant team members, managers, and clients have continuous visibility into key performance metrics.

Connection Settings

The new Connection Settings feature allows administrators to configure SMTP server details and validate settings.

Report cache

The reports cache has been introduced ensuring improved performance, enhanced user experience and effective use of server resources.

License

Supports licensing through FEATURE or UNITS models, version 2026, with FEATURE-based licensing set as the default.

Agent Installation

Installing agent has been enhanced with the following:
  • Ability to install agent with non-root user.
  • Ability to install multiple agents on the same machine.

Default Ports

  • The default 32443 HTTPS port can now be changed to 443 port or in the range between 400 and 32767.
  • The default 32444 messaging port can now be changed in the range between 400 and 32767.

Security Updates

Fixed various reported security vulnerabilities in third-party library dependencies.
