The Property Editor shows all the properties of a selected object and allows you to
edit them.
Press the F3 key to open the Property Editor, or use the
View menu.
Tip:
By default the Property Editor is docked on the left side of the application
window, but it can be undocked and repositioned as needed.
Properties such as a name, material, and color can be assigned to various
objects including parts, loads, shape controls, or an entire model. The
properties assigned to an object vary based on the type of object selected;
for example, materials can be assigned to parts, but not to loads or
supports.
If multiple objects are selected, only those properties that are common to
both will appear in the Property Editor.
Properties that are not editable appear grayed out.
