Altair One NavOps Release Notes 2023.1

Here’s a quick look at the latest features and enhacements in Altair NavOps 2023.1.

Register a Cloud Account in Altair One

You can now register your personal cloud account in Altair One. Administrator's can now deploy appliances using their own cloud subscriptions for runtime isolation. The nodes are shortlisted and made available through Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) license model. In the BYOC model costs a fraction of the original checkout for creating the appliances using Altair One subscription.

Troubleshoot a Node

We have introduced Node Start, Stop, Reconfigure, and Reinstall functionalities. The Reconfigure and Reinstall are made available as troubleshooting tools to fix a misbehaving appliance where the previous versions of Altair One would require the recreation of such an appliance.

Power Provisioning for GCP Appliances

Altair NavOps now supports power provisioning on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) appliances, enabling more efficient utilization of virtual machines (VMs).

High Performance Computing (HPC)

Upgraded Session Appliance

Applications are updated in the Session appliance. Find the new list of the on-boarded version here.

Altair Manufacturing Solver added to Jobs App

The Altair managed default Jobs app now includes the Altair Manufacturing Solver (AMS). You can submit an AMS Job from Altair Drive to the Jobs app using the input file with the content type AMSProjectParameter.

Security Update

High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Altair Drive services are now enhanced with security updates.

Stageout directly to Altair Drive

When a job is submitted, output files are directly copied from the execution node to Altair Drive. Previously, the output files were copied from stageout to the head node and then to Altair Drive. This enhancement reduces stage space utilization during high appliance workloads and eliminates memory errors.
