Pair Comp

This rule checks whether two specific components are connected.

There are occasions that components should be connected to certain signals and placed together with other components.
  • A transient load decoupling capacitor should be placed close to the device requiring the decoupled signal.
  • A power supply decoupling bypass capacitor should be placed close to the voltage/current source.
  • Placing a ferrite-bead close to the noise generating component pin helps reducing EMI.

  • Item: Input item name.
  • Comp1: Select 1st component group.
  • Comp2: Select 2nd component group which should be exist with comp1.
  • Net Group: Define component group that two components should be connected.
