SimLab Tutorial Summary: 2D Synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM)

Description

The studied device, a synchronous reluctance motor, is running in motor mode. As presented in the figure in the right, it includes the following elements:

  • a fixed part (stator) including yoke, slots, and windings
  • an air gap
  • a movable part (rotor) with flux barriers

The coil regions are shown in the figure below, and it is coupled with a circuit defined by the [Circuit Designer]:

After solving the scenario, SimLab can provide some basic post-processing for the eMotor analysis, including the isovalue visualization and the physical quantity plotting.
