Modeling Space

View projection
Select how to display 3D objects on a 2D plane:
Perspective
Show distant objects as smaller and close objects as larger to provide greater realism.
Orthographic
Useful when you want to create scale drawings with accurate measurements and proportions.
Front view
Select which plane to use as the front view. The default is -YZ.
Turntable rotation axis
Select which axis to use as the central axis for turntable rotation. The default is Z.
Mouse drag
Select whether a click and drag is used to Move an object or Box select objects.
Show tooltips on parts
Select to show tooltips when hovering over parts in the modeling window.
Hide sketch after performing Push-Pull or Revolve

Mouse Controls

Presets
This option defines the pan, view, and rotate controls assigned to the left and right mouse buttons, so they are the same as used in another application.

Presets mouse controls for Inspire can be edited. To restore the preset values, click Use Defaults in the lower left corner of the Preferences window.

Collision Detection

Check for collisions between
Define whether Virtual Wind Tunnel for ultraFluidX should check for collisions between all parts, no parts, or only parts that specifically have collision detection applied.

Export model in run path
When this option is active, Virtual Wind Tunnel will automatically save the model and place a copy of it in the path in which the output is being written.

Wheel Speed Calculation

Type
How wheel speed is calculated.
Radius
When a part is identified as a wheel, Virtual Wind Tunnel will use half the z-dimension of the bounding box of all parts in the wheel group as the length scale of the wheel. This length scale is in turn used with the wind speed to compute the angular velocity of the wheel.
Axle-floor distance
When a part is identified as a wheel, Virtual Wind Tunnel will use the distance between the center of the bounding box of all parts in the wheel group and the wind tunnel floor as the length scale of the wheel. This length scale is in turn used with the wind speed to compute the angular velocity of the wheel.
