From the Friction Stir Welding ribbon, click the
Pin icon.
The pin context is enabled and a default pin is created at the origin.
Modify the pin geometry with the microdialog.
Select Cylindrical or Conical
for Pin shape, and update the dimensions to automatically
update the pin geometry. Select the Material for the pin from the
tool materials that you specified using the Materials tool.
Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
Selecting the Pin
Identify a pin that you've designed in a CAD tool and imported.
From the Friction Stir Welding ribbon, click the
satellite icon on the Pin tool.
Select the pin geometry.
In the microdialog, select the Material for the pin from
the tool materials that you specified using the Materials tool.
Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
