OS-E: 1000 Grid Point Stress Response for Free-Shape Optimization
Grid point stress response of homogeneous material for Free-Shape Optimization is
performed.
The objective is to minimize the max grid point stresses in a selected area. In this
example, the 3D cylinder is modeled using first order Tetra elements.Figure 1. FE Model with Loadcases and Loadstep
Model Files
Before you begin, copy the file(s) used in this example to
your working directory.
This example has a linear static analysis of a cylinder which has force applied on specific
locations and constrained in all directions at the bottom. Grid point stress response are
defined by setting RTYPE=GPSTR in
DRESP1 card. The element used should be solid elements with
PSOLID property. Grid point stress response of homogeneous material is
supported for Shape and Sizing Optimization also.
