Commutator
Overview
In Motor Factory – Design area, the environment “Commutator” allows you to describe
the commutator blades and brushes.
Note: The context is
available for designing the DC permanent magnet machine.
This section visualizes the motor radial and axial views of the commutator topology including brushes.
A section scrolling bar allows choosing the section in which user inputs are defined.
Scrolling selection bar where Design and brush sections can be selected:
- “Design” to define the main characteristics of the commutator.
- “Brush” to set how the coil is defined and to see how the slots are filled.
