Edit Temperature Factor

Select a temperature factor and define its properties.

1. Click the Material tool.

   The Assign Material dialog opens.
2. Under the Temperature Factor field heading, click .
3. In the dialog, select temperature factor from the drop-down menu.
   • None: C_temp = 1
   • User Defined: Enter a C_temp value between 0.0 and 1.0
   • FKm: Input a temperature in degrees Celsius and select a material type. C_temp is automatically calculated.
4. Click OK.
   The temperature factor is used to update the fatigue strength reduction factor.

   K_f (mod) = K_f / C_temp

Tip: Apply a temperature factor value to all the parts/sets by right-clicking on and selecting Apply current value to all Parts/Sets.
