Summary Definition Window
Use this window to create a new summary definition or to edit an existing summary definition.
To access this window, select Definition from the Summary Design ribbon.

           Name  | 
        
           Enter a name for this Summary. This name will identify the Summary and will display on the list of Summaries on the Summaries Menu.  |

           Apply Filter  | 
        
           Select a filter to apply to the table before Monarch Classic builds the Summary. This way you can create a summary using only a subset of data in the table.  |

           Default style: 
  | 
        
           Displays the color style of the summary. You can edit the color style via the Color Properties dialog by clicking the adjacent Edit button: 
 
 Note: The default style is applied to all of the summary’s cells. If you specify a title row style or total line style – or if you specify font and background colors for key, item or measure fields – these settings will override the default style ones.  |

           Title row style:  | 
        
           Displays the color style of the summary’s title row. You can edit the color style via the Color Properties dialog by clicking the adjacent Edit button:

           Total Line options  |

           Insert total line  | 
        
           Select to insert a total line at the bottom of the summary. The total line displays totals for all measures in the summary.  |

           Label  | 
        
           Enter the name you want to apply to the summary’s total line.  |

           Style  | 
        
           Displays the color style of the summary’s total label. You can edit the color style via the Color Properties dialog by clicking the adjacent Edit button:

           Insert n blank line(s) before total line  | 
        
           Use to specify the desired number of blank lines you want to insert before the total line.  |

           Apply label style to measure columns  | 
        
           Click to make all measures columns have the same style as the Total Label.  |
