Export Properties: PDF
The table below describes the properties that can be specified for exports to PDF file.

Table |
The name of the selected table to be exported. |
|
Export Type |
The file type to which your export will be saved. |
|
Export File System |
This field describes the file system to which your table will be exported.
Note: Credentials for cloud-based storage systems can be specified in the Server section of The Application Default Settings. |

Export Location |
This setting describes where the export file will be saved and what its name will be. Enter the path and name of the export file. You can embed macros (of the form &[macro]) in the file name. |
|
File Extension |
This setting specifies the extension to use for the export file. It is enabled only when the Filter setting is set to "All Filters." |
|
Filter |
This setting specifies what filter to apply to the table when it is exported. When All Filters is selected as a filter option, exports will automatically be named according to the file name. |
|
Sort |
This setting specifies what sort to apply to the table when it is exported. |
|
When File Exists |
This setting specifies what Data Prep Studio should do if a file with the same name exists in the folder you specified in the Export Location field. Select an action if the export file already exists:

Page Setup |
This setting enables you to modify the margins, paper size, page orientation, and header/footer of the export file. It is applicable only to report and summary exports. The default values for these settings are those indicated in the Default Table Page Setup tab in the Current Workspace Settings dialog. |

Text Encoding |
This setting specifies which type of text encoding to apply to the export file. The accepted text encoding types are Western, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. To use the default setting, choose Use current system locale. |
|
Require a password to open the document |
Select this option to set a password for the export file. Click the Open Password button to set the desired password. |
|
Restrict access to document contents |
Select this option to manage access to the content of the export file. You can restrict or allow printing, context extraction, editing, and annotation for the export file. To apply any of the restrictions to the export file, you must set a password by clicking the Permissions Password button. |

Encryption Type |
This setting specifies which encryption type to apply to the export file. The following options are available:

Legacy compatibility mode - For numeric and date columns, override Data Prep Studio conversion locale settings with system defaults |
This setting instructs the application to ignore the conversion locale settings of Data Prep Studio in favor of the system defaults during the export of numeric and date columns. It is not applicable to report exports. |

Summary |
If the table to be exported is a summary, this setting specifies which summary to include in the export. When All Filters is selected as a Filter option, you will be unable to select All Summaries as a Summary option. You can select All Summaries as a Summary option by deselecting All Filters as a Filter option and selecting No Filter instead. |

Measure |
This setting specifies which measure should be applied to the exported summary. It is enabled only when a column key is defined in the summary. |
|
Split |
This setting instructs the application to create a separate file or table when a distinct value of the first key is encountered in a summary. |
|
Drill Level |
Specifies the drill level to apply to the exported summary. A higher drill level indicates more columns displayed in the output table. |

Automatically Select All Reports |
If the table to be exported is created from several reports, this setting instructs the application to include all reports associated with the table in the export file. It is applicable only to report exports. |
|
Select Reports |
When Automatically Select All Reports is deselected, this setting specifies which of the reports that make up the table should be included in the export file. It is applicable only to report exports. |
