  - Open the Design Explorer Browser
    The Design Explorer Browser displays a hierarchical view of your design setup and can be used to enable and disable exploration parameters.
  - Explorations
    An exploration is a DOE or optimization simulation. Each exploration must include design variables and responses. Optimizations must also include an objective and optionally constraints.
  - Design Variables
    Design variables are changes of the geometric variables that influence the performance of certain analyses.
  - Responses
    An output response is a measurement of system performances, such as mass, volume, displacement, or stress.
    - Create Responses
      Create output responses for the entire model, points, or individual parts.
    - Manage Responses
      Use the List Responses tool to display the Responses table, where you can create new responses, review all responses, and edit their names and properties in one place.

From the Design Explorer ribbon, select the Responses tool.
Use the dropdown menu on the guide bar to select the type of response you want to create.
Select the model, components, or points for which you want to create a response.
