Altair Squeak and Rattle Director 2024 Release Notes
New Features
- Squeak and Rattle Director Moved to HyperMesh NVH
- Squeak and Rattle Director has been added as a sub profile under HyperMesh NVH along with Standard and Full Vehicle NVH. Before opening HyperMesh NVH, you must set the MULTIPLE_MODEL_SUPPORT_NVH environment variable to 1.
- Sigma Plots
- Sigma plots visualization has been added to consider Gap variations. You can use this feature to plot one sigma, two sigma, and three sigma plots to highlight the dynamic tolerance risk.
- Vehicle Failure Plots
- Vehicle failures plots has been added to visualize the percentage of
vehicles failed. You can use this feature to visualize how many
percentages of vehicles fail due to rattle risk.

Enhancements
- SnR-Pre and SNR-Post Integration
- SnR-Pre and SNR-Post have been integrated into a seamless workflow under
the Squeak and Rattle user profile.

- Risk Assessment GUI Updates
- The following GUI updates have been made in Risk Assessment:
- Updated segregation of rattle and squeak lines under separate tabs.
- Change of gap and tolerance on the fly before post-process have been implemented.
- Advanced rattle capabilities have been enabled only after loading the result file.
- Open existing post-process session.
