Monarch Utility Lessons

Before you attempt to use the Monarch Utility, we encourage you to walk through this tutorial, which will enable you to begin using it effectively.

Lesson 1

This lesson describes how to:

• Convert text or XML models and projects into binary format

• Copying models to a new location

Lesson 2

This lesson describes how to:

• Manage external references in binary models or projects

• Manage authors and descriptions in binary models or projects

Lesson 3

This lesson describes how to:

• Purging audit trails in binary models or projects

• Preparing files for use with Monarch

• Redact sample lines from models and workspaces

• Clear credentials from workspaces

• Clear credentials from projects and models

• Upgrade deprecated data connections from workspaces and Library files

 

Note that while most of the lessons describe operations with models, the same operations may be performed with project files.
