Choose a Task Screen

Use this screen to select the type of task you want to perform via the Monarch Utility. This screen displays when you launch the Monarch Utility.

Options

The Choose a Task screen includes the following options:

• Copy Models or Projects from One Location to Another - Select to copy model or project files to a new location.

• Convert Text/XML Models or Projects to Binary - Select to convert text or XML model or project files into binary format. Note: During conversion, the original models and projects are unaltered, and binary versions of these files are created.

• Manage External References in Binary Models or Projects - Select to check or edit the external references in binary models or projects.

• Manage Authors and Descriptions in Binary Models or Projects - Select to check or edit the authors and descriptions of binary models or projects.

• Purge Audit Trails in Binary Models or Projects - Select to purge audit trails in binary models or projects. The Audit Trail is a record of events that is stored in model and project files when they are saved by Monarch.

• Prepare Files for Monarch (Replace, Insert Line Breaks, EDI) - Select if you want to prepare files for use with Monarch, e.g., if you want to replace a string in a report file before importing it into Monarch, insert line breaks into continuous stream files or format EDI files to enable easier processing of them.

• Upload Binary Models to Altair Knowledge Hub - Select if you wish to upload binary models to a folder or sub-folder in Knowledge Hub.

• Next - Displays the Specify Source and Destination Files screen.

• Cancel - Closes the Monarch Utility.

• Help - Displays this help topic.
