This change applies only to the HyperWorks 2026 release and future versions. Your existing installations of HyperWorks 2025.1 and earlier will continue to work unchanged on their currently supported operating systems.

- Java based tools within our products may still show some scaling issues under Ultra HD resolution.

Linux System Requirements
Run the HyperWorks compatibility tool to validate your Linux compatibility with Altair HyperWorks products.
- Navigate to <installtion_path>/hwdesktop/utility/HWCompatibilityTool.
- Run ./diag_tool.sh.
On systems with a window manager (GUI), you can run the tool with the -gui option and get a point and click interface.
The output is an overview of system, compiler, and graphics information as well as a test audit of the packages required by Altair HyperWorks.
