Assigning Materials

Assign materials to parts using the Materials tool or the right-click context menu.

  1. On the Structures or Fluids ribbon, select the Materials tool.

  2. Left-click the material assigned to a part in the table and select a different material from the list.

Tip:
  • The default material assigned to parts is Steel (AISI 304). You can change the default material in the Preferences under Inspire > Materials.
  • You can also view and assign a different material to a part using the right-click context menu or the Property Editor.

  • To create a material variable, right-click the part in the Materials tool or on the design and choose Create Variable. Select the materials you want to use in the Create Material Variable guide panel.
