Slot

Overview

In Motor Factory – Design area, the environment “Slot” allows to design the shape and the dimensions of the machine slots.

For Inner Rotor machines, three sections are available: Design, Lamination and Skew.

For Outer Rotor machines, two sections are available: Design and Skew.

1	Selection of the Slot panel (Click on the icon Slot). Several sections allow defining all characteristics that deal with the Slot: Design, Lamination and Skew. Note: Lamination is available for inner rotor topology but not for outer rotor topology.
2	The design tab gives access to the section dedicated to the design of the slot. Note: By default, the section Design is selected.
2.1	Selection of the shape and settings of the user inputs dedicated to the design of the slot.
3	The lamination tab gives the tools to define the shape of the lamination. Note: This section is only available for inner rotor topology machines.
4	Skew tab gives the tools to define the slot skew topology.
