Block Category: Signal Producer
Description: The sinusoid block generates a unit sine wave signal.
Amplitude: Specifies the maximum strength of the output signal. The default isĀ 1. You can also enter a value in hexadecimal notation or as a C expression.
Frequency (rad/sec): Controls the frequency of oscillation of the output signal. The default is 1 sec.
You can specify the frequency in hertz or radians. For example, when the frequency is set to rad/sec and you specify a frequency of 1, one oscillation completes in 2 sec.
To change the frequency unit, use Frequency Units parameter in the System Properties dialog. You can also enter a value in hexadecimal notation or as a C expression.
Label: Indicates a user-defined block label that appears when View > Block Labels is activated.
Time Delay (sec): Indicates a time or phase offset that is used in the calculation of a signal. The default is 0 sec. For a constant-valued delay, wire a ramp and timeDelay block into a greater than block. Then wire the greater than block, a 0 const block and sinusoid into a merge block. You can also enter a value in hexadecimal notation or as a C expression.
