Monitoring Data in Real Time

You can communicate and exchange data with devices outside the Embed environment in the following ways:

•     Interface with a USB Controller Area Network (CAN) device to read and write CAN messages on the CAN bus

•     Connect to any OPC server and log data or run a virtual plant in Embed for offline tuning

•     Perform real-time data acquisition and signal generation using National Instruments and Measurement Computing I/O cards, PLCs, and DCSs

•     Perform serial I/O with other computers

•     Exchange data over the Ethernet using UDP
