gettypeindex

Return the index of a datatype in a data file. The function has two forms. Use the first form when there is zero or at most one subcase and second form when there are multiple subcases.

Attention: Available only with Activate commercial edition.

Syntax

gettypeindex(filename, datatype)

gettypeindex(filename, subcase, datatype)

R = gettypeindex(...)

Inputs

filename: Path of the file.; Type: string
subcase: Subcase name or index in the file.; Type: string | int
datatype: Data type name in the file.; Type: string

Outputs

R: Index of data type.

Examples

Basic gettypeindex example with subcase:

gettypeindex('Path/To/File/bezel.res','Complex','Normal X at Z1 (c)')

R = 5

Basic gettypeindex example without subcase:

gettypeindex('Path/To/File/ANGACC','Angular Acceleration')

R = 2
