ITU-R P.525 & P.526 Model
This propagation model combines the free space attenuation (ITU-R P.525) with the diffraction loss (ITU-R P.526) for any type of path as defined by a terrain profile.
The computation of the diffraction loss is based on the modified Deygout method, but also makes use of the spherical Earth diffraction model. The method is fairly quick since only the diffraction loss is calculated. It is mostly useful in the UHF and above frequency range, where the influence of the surface of the earth in most cases can be neglected.
