Connection Filters

Allows comparison of filtered contacts for parts or groups of parts across multiple design studies

The Connection filter tool can be accessed from the visualization section of the main menu toolbar. The following steps are to create, manage, and use these filters.

  1. In the main menu toolbar, select the Connection filters tool.
    The Connection filters window opens.
  2. Create a new filter.
    1. Click Create new filter.
    2. Select parts from the Parts list in the window or from the Project Tree.
    3. Optional: To only see connections between the selected parts, select the Find connections between selected parts only checkbox.
    4. Double-click on the new filter to rename it.
    5. Click Save filter.
  3. Use and manage filters.
    When a filter is active, the Project Tree title displays a Filter active header. The filter will be active only when the parts are matching between the design study. The invalid parts get highlighted in red in the Connection filter window for the respective design study.
    1. To activate a filter, ensure the checkbox next the desired filter is selected.
      Multiple filters can be selected at once.
    2. Click Apply to display the connection based on activated filters.
    3. To compare connections across different design studies, use the Design study dropdown to toggle between studies.
      The active filters will remain applied.
    4. To deactivate all filters, click Clear all.
    5. To delete all filters, click Delete all.
  4. Click Close.
