- Rigid Parts
  A rigid part can displace under the loading, but only as a rigid body, i.e. without deformation or strain.

Set Part Type as Protruded

Define parts as protruded.

SimSolid automatically recognizes long extruded parts as protruded during geometry import. Accurate part recognition ensures the appropriate adaptation functions are applied during the solution phase, improving the efficiency of the analysis.

When parts are not auto-recognized, the following instructs how to manually set the part type to protruded.

On the Project Tree, click on the Assembly workbench.
Right-click on a part from the list, and select Set part type as protruded.
In the dialog, select an edge to define protrusion direction.
Click OK.

The part type will be changed to protruded and indicated by
