Other Export Options

Introduction

This option enables the user to export nodes and elements details in different formats. User can use this exported file information in their in-house tools to do mapping and other operations. This details can be exported in the following formats.

  • Comma Separated Value (CSV)
  • Nastran/Abaqus
  • Universal V/Universal MSE

User can scale the XYZ coordinate values using the scale option and set the local coordinate as reference to write the node position. Below table explains the supported entities for each format.

Comma Separated Value (CSV)

  • With this option, user can export the nodes and elements information in separate files. Node details will be exported as "FileName_Elems_Nodes.csv" and element details will be exported as "Filename_Elems_Elems.csv".
  • File with node information contains Node ID and the XYZ coordinate position of the nodes.
  • File with element information contains Element ID and the Centroid of the element.

Nastran/Abaqus

  • User can export the Shell/Solid elements attached to the selected faces.
  • This option is used to write out the boundary elements for mapping experimental data using their in-house tool to apply loading conditions.

Universal V/Universal MSE

  • Nodes and elements details will be exported in UNV format.
  • Along with Nodes and elements details, it writes the Coordinate details in MSE format.
