Introduction

During model setup, if user wants to add unsupported cards, those cards can be added as text using this option.

While import Abaqus or OptiStruct deck, cards not read by SimLab are placed in the respective sections -

  • For Abaqus: Model Data, Step Data and Material Data.
  • For OptiStruct: Bulk Data, Subcase Data, Param Data and Input Output data.

So that Abaqus or OptiStruct deck imported into SimLab and exported back will not have any data loss. The Text data is supported for Abaqus, OptiStruct, Permas, ADVENTURECluster, LS-Dyna and Ansys interfaces.

The following data sections can be entered as text,

  • Abaqus

    • Step data
  • OptiStruct
    • Bulk data
