Export Results

File > Export > Results Export

Introduction

This option enables the user to export the result values for each node. Either result can be exported along with the node Ids or with the coordinates of the nodes. Bodies/faces/edges/vertex/elements/nodes can be selected and result for these selected entities will be exported. If no entity is selected then all nodes from the model will be exported.

The result value for the result component that is currently on display will be exported.

They are two different methods to export the result value

  • Data
  • Deformed model

Data

Export results dialog contains three types of Data fields

  • Node ID, Results values.
  • Node ID, LoadCase values.
  • Node X, Y, Z, Results values.

Fields

  • Node Id, Results Value: Node id and its results value are exported.
  • Node Id, LoadCase Value: Node id and its all load case results value are exported.
  • Node X,Y,Z, Results Value: Coordinated x, y, z for the nodes and their results value will be exported.

Export as

  • Export as text file: The node Ids / coordinated along with the result values can be exported and saved as text files
  • Export as SimLab Table: With Export Table option, one can create the coordinates of the nodes and their result values in the form of a table. The table can be viewed in the Field Tables tree in the materials tab located in the model tree view. Table name can be specified.

This option is enabled only for "Node X,Y,Z, Results Value".

Export Model Data (BDF Format)

If model data is turned ON, then results values will be saved as bdf file.

Coordinate system

Deformed Model

Using this method to export the whole model in "Gda" or "STL" or "VRML" with "Scale Factor".
