Redacting Samples Lines from Models and Workspaces

In some instances, you may wish to prevent users from viewing the contents of sample lines, especially if these lines contain sensitive information, such as addresses, social security numbers, and credit card numbers. Monarch Utility provides an easy means to redact the sample lines used to create templates for models and workspaces.

  1. Launch the Monarch Utility wizard and ensure that the button for Redact Samples Lines from Models and Workspaces is selected. Click Next when you are finished.

  2. In the next screen that displays, enter the path to the source folder containing the models and workspaces using templates with sample lines you wish to redact. You can use the Browse  button located beside this field to search for the appropriate folder.

  3. Check the box for Include subfolders if you wish to copy all subfolders as well.

  4. In the Skip Model Settings section of the wizard, tick the corresponding boxes if you wish to:

    • Skip model files containing templates in floating or regular expression mode

    • Skip workspace files saved by a version of Data Prep Studio predating the 2020.1 release.

  5. Click Next when you are finished.

The next screen reiterates your instructions for the redact operation.

  6. Select Finish to proceed with redacting sample lines in the indicated models and workspaces if the indicated operation is correct. If you wish to make changes to the redact operation, select Back.
