Create Failure Criteria

Add failure data for curve fitting to test tension, shear, and compression in plastic materials.

Step 1: Import Raw Material

  1. Launch AMM and select Elastoplastic.
  2. Configure the file path for material data using Basic Settings.
  3. Import raw material data with stress-strain curves, either from a local file system or AMDC database.

Step 2: Add Failure Criteria

  1. Click Advanced from the Create Material Card section.

  3. Edit the necessary parameter values.
  4. Select JohnsonCook as failure.
  5. Select Johnson&Cook (Radioss) as Outcome.
  6. Adjust Compression, Shear and Tension parmeter values using the slider.

You can also enter the required parameter value in the given text field box.

View the curve changes while adjusting the parmeter values.

  7. Click Create Card to generate material card with failure criteria.

Review CAE Solver Card

  1. On the Settings tab, Open the Current Working Directory path.
  2. Open the solver card directory. In this example, Radioss.
  3. Open the material with failure solver card to review the generated failure data.
