File Preview and Export

The File Preview tool allows users to review content before saving it to a file.

Each workflow objective is associated with a specific file format meant for use with the desired analysis solver or software application. Many file types allow you to add comments and annotations that do not impact the software's operation. If the file permits, one can add notes that will be exported with the file using the File Export button.
  • The loaded or approved data can be previewed using the File Preview button in the File Import and Export pane. This allows review of the output before saving the file for use with other software, ensuring that it meets the required requirements.

  • Modify the units of the file or specific parameter unit in the model fit data while previewing the details.
  1. Verify: Make sure all required steps for creating the output file are completed. If all the fitting steps necessary have green buttons, the approvals are done.
  2. Set Units: Some objective workflows allow the user to define the unit system for the cards created. If this is the case, make sure this is set properly.
  3. Click File Preview.

  4. Review the text in the Preview Paneand make any necessary edits. Remember, what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG). If multiple files are needed, the text pane will have a line with, ###NewFile### followed by a line with FileName: (10 characters long) followed by the name of the next file. The subsequent lines will go into the new file. The file export routine interprets these lines, so you may enter them manually if required.
  5. Review the File Name: A default file name is displayed for the selected objective workflow, but this can be edited before export.
  6. Click Export File. A notification displays the file is created in the Project Folder.
