    Optimization will find the most effecitve design for each design space in a model in response to the applied loading conditions on that model. You can run several different types of optimization including topology, topography,gauge, and PolyNURBS shape optimization.

      Once optimization has been run, you can rerun anlysis on the generated shape.

      Once optimization has been run, you can fit a PolyNURBS to the generated shape.
    - View Design Violations
      After running an optimization, if certain design targets or constraints were not met, a warning will appear at the bottom of the Shape Explorer window.
    - Compare Results (optimization)
      Compare the results of multiple optimization runs in a table using the Compare Results button located at the bottom of the Shape Explorer.
    - Visualize Element Density
      The element density result type shows where material on the part is most dense and needs to be retained. This result type is available for all topology optimization runs.
- Report
  Generate PPT or PDF reports from analysis results. The Report tools are available after you have run an analysis.
Motion
Set up and run a motion analysis, plot the results, and export the results.
Fluids
Prepare and run a computational fluid dynamics simulation.
Design Explorer
Evaluate designs by using geometric variables and applying a design-of-experiments (DOE) or optimization method. We recommend fully constraining your sketch when sketch variables are used in the design exploration.
Manufacture
Set up and run a basic porosity or thinning analysis.
Print 3D
Prepare and run an additive manufacturing simulation, and export a file for 3D printing.
Rendering
Adjust the materials and environment of objects in the scene to create a photorealistic image.

Compare Results (optimization)

Compare the results of multiple optimization runs in a table using the Compare Results button located at the bottom of the Shape Explorer.

Load the results in the Shape Explorer.

Click the Compare Results button located at the bottom of the Shape Explorer.

The table for comparing results appears at the bottom of the modeling window.
Select the row to display the results for that run and load case.
- Double-click a cell in the table to show that result in the modeling window.
- Click the chevron on a column header to filter results.
- Click a column header to sort the column.
- Right-click a column header to change what result types, run parameters, or callouts are shown in the table.
- Click the top left corner of the table to copy the contents of all cells. This can then be pasted into Excel.
