Modifying the Standard Material Library

Inspire includes a default material library of standard materials in your installation directory. This default library can be edited to create a custom library.

The material library is an xml file which you can edit using a text editor. It is located in unity\config\freedom\InspireMaterial.xml

Admin rights are required to edit this file.



To edit or add materials to a library:
  1. Open the InspireMaterial.xml material library located in folder in the installation directory.
  2. Locate the material name in the XML file.
  3. To create a new material, copy one of the materials to use as a template.
  4. Edit the material name, density, youngModulus, poissonsRatio, and/or yieldStress as desired.
