Definitions

Field Contents SI Unit Example
NAME Character string of up to 8 characters identifying the monitor point.

No default (Character)

LABEL A character string that identifies and labels the monitor point.

Up to 56 characters are supported.

Default = blank (Character)

AXES Component axes to monitor.

(Integer > 0, up to six unique digits (1 ≤ digit ≤ 6) may be placed in the field with no embedded blanks)

COMP Name of an AECOMP or AECOMPL entry that defines the set of grid points over which the monitor point is defined.

No default (Character)

CP Identification number of a coordinate system in which the input (x,y,z) coordinates are defined.

Default = 0 (Integer ≥ 0)

X, Y, Z Coordinates in the CP coordinate system about which the displacement are to be monitored.

Default = 0.0 (Real)

CD Identification number of a coordinate system in which the resulting displacement is output.

Default = The coordinate system specified by the CP field.

(Integer ≥ 0)

INDDOF Specifies the degrees of freedom (DOFs) for the independent grids contributing to the derived monitor point displacement.

Default = 123

Comments

  1. The MONDISP1 entry is supported only for linear static analysis.
    • The MONDSP1 entry can be either aerodynamic or structural, depending on the data specified in the COMP field. While a structural MONDSP1 can share the same name as an aerodynamic MONDSP1, two structural MONDSP1s or two aerodynamic MONDSP1s cannot have identical names.
    • The INDDOF field defines which components of the AECOMP grids contribute to the monitor point displacement. The default setting is generally appropriate, but if only a single grid point is used, all six DOFs can be selected.
